About
The SVA Master's in Branding Department will be offering an online track to coincide with the onsite classroom experience for the 2023/2024 academic year, allowing students to choose how they earn their degree. Application deadline extension is April 15, 2023 to join in September 2023!
Courses
The courses for both online and onsite students will be simultaneous and synchronous, providing identical education in faculty, courses, assignments, workshops, real-world clients, and professional mentorship.
Schedule
Classes are held from 6:30-9:00 PM EST Monday through Friday with an additional Saturday course meeting once per month during the Fall and Spring semesters. The program duration is 10.5 months beginning in September 2023 and concluding in mid-July 2024.
Technology
Our department is utilizing the latest technology for students participating in the online program to seamlessly stream into the classroom facilitating active discussion with professors and the onsite cohort.
Structure
Upon applying, students will be asked to select either online or onsite for the 2023/2024 academic year. The separate tracks are not designed to be interchangeable for the Fall and Spring semesters. However, the department is providing the opportunity for online students to join the onsite cohort for the Summer Thesis semester.
Groups
A substantial amount of assignments and projects are executed as a team therefore students are paired into new groups at the start of each semester. To streamline collaboration, online students will be grouped together and onsite students will be grouped together.
Requirements
The application requirements for online and onsite students are identical. In order to have a complete application, students must submit an official transcript, three letters of recommendation, a resume, and a brand evaluation essay. For the essay, applicants should select a brand of their choosing and write an analysis including relevance in the market, historical significance, assessment of the brand's positioning, and creative analysis. International applicants whose primary/native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English with a TOFEL or IELTS examination.
Scholarship
The Masters in Branding Department offers merit-based scholarships totaling $5,000 towards the total cost of the tuition to extraordinary applicants. Student's application materials submitted to the program will be used in consideration for the award.
Tuition
