Christine Shin

Originally a Los Angeles native, Christine graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Jewelry & Metalsmithing and a Concentration in Literary Arts and Studies. She settled in New York after graduating and has gained comprehensive experience as a jewelry designer creating collections for a variety of established brands.

Christine has worked with fashion forward labels that cater to specialty concept boutiques, as well as fine jewelry lines for commercial luxury retailers. Her expertise includes leading market trend research and crafting seasonal directions for color and design strategies. She loves observing the world around her and conceptualizing ideas using a broad range of cultural and social references.

Branding is the common thread that incorporates all of her varying interests, and Christine comes to SVA excited by the prospect of expanding into other categories and gaining the skills to design the greater scope of a brand’s identity.

In her spare time, she loves cooking large meals in her tiny Brooklyn apartment or exploring the many museums and galleries in the city to find inspiration.

The curriculum for The Masters in Branding Program allows students to create frameworks to guide brand, design and business development, critically evaluate brand, business, marketing and design strategies and Master the intellectual link between leadership and creativity. Learn more...
