Hilal Ozkaya

Hilal has been passionate about design and branding since before she can remember. Being a Turkish American, learning and studying about culture have been fascinating for her and greatly influenced many of her business approaches.  Deepening her cultural curiosity, Hilal studied abroad in Australia which helped further expand her views  She started her journey at Rutgers University studying communications.

Making her way down to a warmer climate, Hilal gained her bachelor’s degree at University of Tampa.  All throughout her educational life she had a desire to learn about different aspects of design from a psychological viewpoint to a communication viewpoint to various arts projects.  Working in various industries after college (hospitality, film, education, event planning, and retail) Hilal found a common string amongst them all – branding!

Having multiple perspectives helped Hilal discover branding in a holistic manner.  Currently, she is working for a startup technology company creating their marketing infrastructure. Throughout her working career Hilal witnessed that in order for a company to have a sustainable business it needs to define its brand but also needs to form cultural awareness to become a global citizen. Realizing that this will help move a company forward in all industries, Hilal decided to pursue her passion of design by learning more about branding. Moving back up to her home area Hilal is looking forward to the Masters in Branding program to become a branding expert.
