Kamal Barakat

Kamal comes to SVA with fourteen years of work experience in the finance world, with a majority of that time spent at the IFC (private sector arm of the World Bank Group) in Cairo. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from London Business School (LBS). He is an Egyptian national fluent in both English and Arabic.

Kamal has studied and worked in Belgium, Egypt, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States, and those experiences, as well as his time working with his IFC colleagues from all over the world, have honed his ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a broad spectrum of personalities, to appreciate the many cultures that comprise the world community of which we are all citizens, and to facilitate connections between and among himself, colleagues and friends around the globe.

Kamal’s passion for branding was sparked during his time at LBS, and so he has elected to “take the plunge” by pursuing that passion at SVA.
