Born in Bamberg, South Carolina, but raised in Brooklyn, New York, Chelsea is a freelance graphic designer who enjoys working with small business owners and non-profit organizations developing logos & brand identities, while bringing their design dreams to life. As a small child, she enjoyed art and fell in love with computer based design in high school. Chelsea grew to be a lover of typography, identity design, advertising, and editing during her college journey.
Chelsea holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Art & Design from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus and briefly attended Pratt Institute as a candidate in their Master of Science in Communication Design program. In her spare time, she enjoys reading design blogs, learning new things, making others laugh, and spending time with her dog Bailey.
Chelsea is motivated by creative problem solving as well as critical and analytical thinking. She believes that this program will help to hone her skills in the creative process, further develop her verbal and visual communication skills, as well as educate her on the business aspect of identity and design. Becoming a MPS Branding Candidate at SVA was one of her biggest goals and is an exciting step in what she hopes will be a wonderful career in branding.
