Ali Ketchledge is a self-proclaimed nerd with a creative streak and deep appreciation for proper grammar. She grew up on the Jersey Shore and attended James Madison University in Virginia where she earned a degree in Writing & Rhetoric while minoring in Art.
The undeniable spell of New York City has always been a part of her long-term plan, especially after getting a taste of it during her time at SpotCo. There, she pioneered their internship program and realized a dream while working on ads placed in Times Square. She also learned the necessity of comfortable shoes while transporting stage curtains to Broadway theatres throughout Midtown.
Ali has spent the last eight years in San Diego, California as a Strategic Communication Consultant developing brand strategy for the United States Department of Defense. In her spare time, she independently conceptualized and established an exclusive line of embellished stemware. Owning a small business has given her a personal perspective regarding timing, costs and accountability. It has also helped her appreciate the imperativeness of developing and maintaining a solid, memorable brand.
Attending SVA and working towards a Masters in Branding is her ultimate dream come true. She is still pinching herself and cannot wait to dive in. She might not even miss the San Diego weather.
