Monica was born and raised in Mexico City. Her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences lead her to pursue a career in writing. In 2009, she took on the position of Fashion Assistant at Glamour magazine. Three months into the job, she got an offer to assume the position of Editorial Coordinator for the same magazine. Writing has always been at the core of her career, and in the midst of generating content about fashion, beauty, and all sorts of brands, she decided to leave it all to pursue a Masters degree in Branding at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. 

Her professional experience as an Editor together with her newly acquired skills in Branding have resulted in a strategic writing ability in content creation for publications like GQ, Glamour, and what is looking like a first draft for a book. Although furthering a career in Editorial is still appealing, Monica dreams of soon starting her own business and contribute to the world in a way that matters. She is still living in New York City.
