May Shek

Class 2012

May Shek is a brand strategist and designer who believes that craft without strategy is lifeless, and strategy without craft is mute. Prior to joining CSA, May worked as an art director in branding consultancies in New York and Hong Kong/Shanghai, crafting diverse branding solutions for clients such as The Economist, Louis Vuitton Group and The Marco Polo Hotels. Upon completing her Masters in Branding at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, May launched her career in brand innovation, striving to see the bigger picture while crafting holistic brand experiences. She is currently a brand strategist at Carbone Smolan Agency in New York City. May enjoys heated discussions, long detours and round corners. Other than an irrational fear of pigeons, she’s mostly fearless.

The curriculum for The Masters in Branding Program allows students to create frameworks to guide brand, design and business development, critically evaluate brand, business, marketing and design strategies and Master the intellectual link between leadership and creativity. Learn more...
