Class 2011

I am a graphic designer, photographer, and creative writer, born in Santa Ana California, and raised in the Foothills of North Carolina. My passion for print media probably started when I received my first typewriter at age 9, or perhaps before that, when I asked for an office copy machine for my 5th birthday. The smell of paper and freshly imprinted ink has always made my heart skip a beat. I love the printing industry, but most of all, I love visual communication and the methods by which we accomplish it. I’ve been published many times by The Harlem Times (NYC), Harlem World Magazine (NYC), and I even started a magazine of my own.

My work includes brand identities, photography, and layouts intended for print. I’ve done silver gelatin prints, relief and screen prints, and even dabbled in making artists’ books.

Over the years I developed a knack for listening and using my intuition and awareness of design principles and print production to bring ideas to life. I am really excited about evolving my creative vision through the branding program, and I look forward to the year ahead.
